  Ansco Super Memar f2


The Ansco Super Memar f2 was manufactured by the Agfa company of Munich for Ansco of Binghamton, New York in circa 1957. It was the same camera as the Ansco Super Memar but with improved optics. The camera body was made of die-cast metal and covered in black leather. The exposed metal parts were finished in satin chrome. It was fitted with an f2 Agfa Solagon anastigmat lens mounted into a Synchro-Compur LVS shutter providing speeds up to 1/500 of a second, plus bulb. Features included a lens-coupled range and view finder, M-V-X flash synchronization, an optical eye-level finder, thumb-lever film transport moves film into position, counts exposures and sets shutter, and a film type indicator with ASA calibrations.
