The No. 5 Folding Kodet Special Camera was manufactured by Eastman Kodak Company from 1895 to 1897. Constructed of mahogany wood with leather covering and polished brass hardware. Producing images 5 x 7 inches on roll film or glass plates. Features included rising, falling and sliding front, and a double swing back. It also features a reversible finder, ground glass behind hinged door for fine focusing, improved time and instantaneous shutter, and a rapid rectilinear lens. Original priced at $35.00 with a rapid rectilinear lens or $40.00 for the camera equipped with a Baush & Lomb Kodak rapid rectilinear lens.
