The Memo was manufactured in 1927 by the Ansco Company of Binghamton, New York. The first production of the Memo in 1927 produced two versions. A leather covered type and a wood finished version. The wood version was not in production for a long time and are rare. The original Memo was a half-frame 35mm camera. The Memo was produced for many years with a variations and improvements.
