  Junior Special Ruby Camera


The Junior Special Ruby Camera was manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard Manufacturing Company in circa 1926. Designed to provide the utmost value in a reflex camera. the Camera is constructed of mahogany throughout and covered with genuine seal-grained leather. All the external metal fittings are black enamelled. Fetures include a rising and falling front with sky shade, a silver-surfaced everset mirror moounted on an unwarpable metal board, a collapsible focusing hood that is hindged for cleaning, a revolving back, and a Ruby Focal Plane shutter. Various lenses were available from Taylor-Hobson Cooke, Aldis, Ross, Dallmeyer and Zeiss. Made in four sizes including, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches, 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, 6 1/2 x 9 inches, and 4 x 5 inches.
