  Prominent II Camera by Voigtlander

The Prominent II Camera was manufactured by Voigtlander & Sohns AG from 1958 to approximately 1961. It was similar to Prominent introduced in 1950 but with a new body style to accomodate a large life-size view finder. It was fitted with a Voigtlander Ultron f2.0 50mm or a higher quality Voigtlander Nokton f1.5 50mm lens. Lenses were interchangeable with a prominent bayonet mount. The lens was mounted on a Synchro-Compur leaf shutter providing speeds from 1 to 1/500th of a second. It featured a coupled rangefinder with bright frame lines for parallax correction. It also was able to be adapter as a refex camera with an attachment. A high quality 35mm camera.
