The Alpine Camera, quarter plate size was manufactured by the Voighlander Company from 1906 to 1926. It was constructed of light weight aluminum and fitted with a Voightlander lens in either a Koilos or compound shutter. It featured a long triple extension bellows. Described as being suitable for use in tropical climates. The smaller quarter plate size, 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, or 9 x 12 cm, was capable of being fitted for panoramic or stereoscopic work. The camera measured 5 3/4 x 4 3/8 x 1 1/2 inches.
