Ashford's Patent Camera was manufactured by J. Ashford of 179 Aston Road, Birmingham from at least 1897 to 1900. Designed as a rigid, useful and all-around high class camera. Made in three sizes, a quarter plate, a 5 x 4 and a half plate. The half plate size was large enough to accommodate a pair of stereo lenses. This camera featured double swing back, double extension via rack and pinion. Priced from £4 16 0 to £6 16 0.
