The Petite Century No. 3 was manufactured by the Century Camera Company from 1903 to approximately 1910. Designed as a compact camera with all of the adjustments for a wide field of work. Features included a double extension bellows of sufficient length to use for field work, a double sliding front, a swing bed and swing back, reversible brilliant finder and two tripod sockets. It was fitted with Rapid Symmetrical lens and a no. 1 Automatic shutter. It was available in three sizes, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch, a 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch and a 4 x 5 inch size. It accommodated the use of a cartridge roll film, as well as a film pack or glass plate. The ground glass in the rear of the camera provided a full size image for focusing. The camera was constructed of fine mahogany wood handsomely polished and covered in black genuine cowhide leather with a red bellows. The Petite Century No. 3 was priced at $20.00, $25.00 and $25.00 respectively.
