The Conley Folding Camera, Model IV was manufactured by Conley Camera Company of Rochester Minnesota from approximately 1900 - 1914. It was designed as a compact plate camera available in both 3 1/4 x 4 /4 and 4 x 5 size. The camera was constructed of solid mahogany wood, dovetailed corners and piano finish. Covered in genuine seal grain leather. The bellows were made of the best Russian leather, gossamer lined. All metal parts were made of brass with nickel plating and highly polished. The lens was a high grade single achromatic and the shutter was an automatic Wollensak Junior with pneumatic release. It utilized the conley flexible valve plate holder, a reversible view finder and two tripod sockets.
