  Conley Folding Camera, Model VII

The Conley Folding Camera, Model VII was manufactured by the Conley Camera Company of Rochester, Minnesota from approximately 1900 - 1914. It was designed with the most essential features of high grade folding plate cameras. It was available in both 4 x 5 and 5 x 7 size. The camera was constructed of solid mahogany wood, dovetailed corners and piano finish. Covered in genuine seal grain leather. The bellows were made of the best red Russian leather. All metal parts were made of brass with nickel plating and highly polished. The lens was a high grade double rectilinear and the shutter was an automatic Wollensak Junior with pneumatic release. It utilized the conley flexible valve plate holder, a reversible view finder and two tripod sockets, and an adjustable rising and falling front. The 4x5 camera measured closed 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches and the 5x7 size measured 2 3/4 x 6 5/8 x 8 1/2 inches.
