Conley Folding Camera, Model IV

The Conley Folding Camera, Model IV was manufactured by Conley Camera Company of Rochester Minnesota from approximately 1910 - 1918. It was also marketed as the Shamrock Folding camera. It was designed as an inexpensive 4x5 plate camera. The box was constructed of select air seasoned and kiln dried wood covered in black morocco grain keratol. The bellows were made of the best quality keratol and all metal parts were made of brass with an oxidized polished. The lens was a high grade achromatic meniscus with universal focus and a Conley time and instantaneous shutter with three diaphragms. It utilized the Conley flexible valve plate holder, a reversible view finder and two tripod sockets. The camera closed measured 2 1/8 x 5 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches, with a bellows extension of 7 1/2 inches and weighed 23 ounces, including plate holder.
