Conley View Camera, Model B W

The Model B. W. View Camera, was manufactured by the Conley Camera Company of Rochester, Minnesota from approximately 1911 - 1917. It was designed to be high grade view camera embodying many improvements over the B.S. Model. The camera was constructed of solid mahogany wood, except the track bed was cherry wood for size consistency. Workmanship included dovetailed corners and piano finish. The bellows were made of genuine red leather, gossamer lined, extra long. All metal parts were nickel plated and highly polished. Additionally the front standard was adjustable with rack and pinion focusing with controls in both front and rear. It also has rack and pinion rising and falling front with self lock. The lens board was extra large, detachable and wide enough to accommodate stereo lens. It contained a reversible back with spring actuated focusing screen. It was available in 5 x 7; 6 1/8 x 8 1/2 and 8 x 10 inch sizes. Two tripod sockets were provided. Lens available were the Conley three focus rapid rectilinear and the Conley safety shutter or the Conley series V Astigmatic lens and Conley safety shutter.
