Conley Box Camera, Model 1

datasheet_loginThe Conley Box Camera, Model 1 was manufactured by Conley Camera Company from approximately 1900 - 1910. It wass designed as an inexpensive 4x5 plate camera, that advertised as being sold for half the price of other cameras in its class due to volume sales. The was box constructed of select wood covered in seal grain keratol, and all metal parts were oxidized finished in black. It contains a genuine meniscus achromatic lens with universal or fixed focus. The shutter was a Conley time and instantaneous. Two view finders and two tripod sockets also provided. It was simple to operate. The camera measured 5 1/2 x 7 1/8 high by 8 inches long and weighed 35 ounces.
