Conley Stereoscopic Camera, Model XVII

datasheet_loginThe Conley Stereoscopic Camera, Model XVII was manufactured by the Conley Camera Company of Rochester, Minnesota from approximately 1903 - 1917. This camera was designed as a simple and inexpensive stereo camera. Like all the other Conley stereoscopic cameras, this camera came with a hard wood stereoscope viewer. This camera produced 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 full size stereoscopic images on plates. It was constructed of wood and covered with seal grain keratol. All metal parts were made of brass with nickel plating. The camera was fitted with two perfectly matched, single achromatic, fixed focus lens made for stereoscopic work. The shutter was a simple finger release automatic stereo shutter with adjustment for instantaneous and timed exposures. It utilized the Conley flexible valve plate holder, single view finder and a tripod mount. The camera measured 5 1/2 x 5 7/8 x 8 inches and weighed 33 ounces.
