Universal Camera by Watson & Sons

The Universal Camera was manufactured by W. Watson & Sons from 1893 to approximately 1905, as the most useful studio camera. The bellows slide out from the front and the back can extend out via an endless screw. Constructed of Spanish mahogany with leather bellows and brass fittings. This camera featured a swing back that is reversible for horizontal or vertical work. Made in six sizes including 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch, a whole plate 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch, 9 x 7 inch, 10 x 8 inch, 12 x 10 inch, and 15 x 12 inch. Camera only prices ranged from £6 0s 0d to £15 15s 0d.
