The Tourist Camera was manufactured by the W. Watson & Sons company from 1882 to the early 1900's. This camera was designed for high quality, minimum weight and maximum strength, suitable for hand or stand work. Made with double action front and moveable central partitions. Adaptable for either stereoscopic or single pictures on plates. The camera provide rack and pinion focusing and a rear ground glass screen. The front provides rising, falling and cross movements. Made in seven sizes including 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch, 7 1/2 x 5 inch, whole plate 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch, 10 x 8 inch. Larger sizes 12 x 10 inch, and 15 x 12 inch were only offered in the early years. Originally priced from £8 15s to £19 5s.
