Premier Camera by Watson & Sons

The Premier Camera was manufactured by W. Watson & Sons from 1883 to approximately 1920, as a high quality, strong and durable stand camera. This one has proved the test of time. Constructed of select mahogany with brass fittings. Designed on the interchangeable system so that the dark slides, fronts and screw nuts are made to standard gauges. Featured a double extension bellows and rack and pinion focusing, or screw focusing on larger sizes. A swing back, rising and falling front and rear ground glass focusing are provided. Made in seven sizes including 6 1/2 x 3 3/4 inch, 7 1/2 x 5 inch, whole plate 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch, 10 x 8 inch, 12 x 10 inch, 15 x 12 inch, 18 x 16 inch. Camera only prices ranged from £9 12s 0d to £31 1-s 0d. A rapid rectilinear lens was an optional purchase.
