The Ray E camera was manufactured approximately from 1899 to 1903. It was designed to meet the demand for a complete 4 x 5 hand camera that will take a sufficient number of pictures without resorting to the dark-room. The Ray E was equipped with twelve patent metal plate holders, operated in broad daylight. The Ray E is exactly like the Ray B, except in size and its so-called magazine. Covered with seal grain leather, leather handle; two view finders; two tripod sockets for vertical and horizontal pictures; patent rotary shutter, with speed adjustment; fine improved single Meniscus 4x5 universal lens, fitted with revolving diaphragm, with three stops; and our patent multiplying attachment; twelve single plate holders. Size of camera is 9 1/4 x 5 x 6 1/2 inches and weighting 3 1/4 pounds including plate holders. price for 1899 was $10 dollars.
