The Ray camera was introduced in 1896, with the start of the company, as a moderately priced camera. The camera was a success. It was larger than the junior, but constructed the same with the addition of a large square brilliant view finder. It was constructed of seal grain leather; patent rotary shutter; single tripod socket, best grade single achromatic lens; revolving diaphragm, with three stops in full view, leather handle; six metal plate holder capacity; picture size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. The size of the camera was 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches and weighed 14 ounces.
