Ray D Camera

datasheet_loginManufactured approximately from 1899 to 1903, the Ray D box camera is a complete hand camera especially adapted for hand or tripod work. The lens is fitted with a sliding mount, that may be focused at any distance, starting at 6 feet. The rear of the camera is fitted with a ground glass door for focusing. The shutter is the M.R. & Co. shutter. It is the simplest and nearest to perfection of nay hand camera. It produces pictures of 4 x 5 size. It is covered in seal grain leather, with leather handle. Additional features include, an accurately focusing scale; two view finders; two tripod sockets for vertical and horizontal pictures, best grde single achromatic lens, six inch focus, large aperature, very rapid. Overall size is 9 3/4 x 5 1/4 x 6 3/4, weight is 2 1/4 pounds, with a capacity of four plate holders.
