The Speedy hand camera was sold by the Benetfink and Company Ltd. photo supply depot in circa 1898. Designed as a simple to use automatic plate changing magazine camera, capable of carrying twelve plates or twenty four cut films with one loading. The automatic changing mechanism provides an reliable and easy exposure count indicator to show how many exposures have been taken. An internal guillotine shutter provides time and instantaneous exposures and the achromatic lens can be adjusted for close pictures less than nine feet by adding magnifiers onto the lens. A Rapid Rectilinear lens was an optional upgrade. Made in quarter plate (4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch) size and priced at £2 12 6, and with the upgraded RR lens it sold for £4 10 0.
