No. 3 Lightning Camera from Benetfink

datasheet_loginThe No. 3 Lightning hand camera was sold by the Benetfink and Company Ltd. photo supply depot in circa 1898. Designed specifically for Cyclists, being very compact and portable. The Front extended out via rack and pinion movement for focusing. The same plate changing system as the No.1 and No. 2 cameras was incorporated, capable of carrying twelve quarter plates or twenty four cut films with one loading. The changing mechanism provided an exposure count indicator to show how many exposures have been taken. The no. 3 Cyclist hand camera was fitted with a rapid rectilinear lens with rotating diaphragms. The shutter provided time and instantaneous exposures for 1/5, 1/25, 1/50 or 1/100 of a second. Two brilliant view finders are built in for vertical or horizontal views. Exposed plates were able to be removed from the light tight chamber without interfering with those that are unexposed. Made in quarter plate (4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch) size and priced 85s complete in leather case.
