  Goerz Vest Pocket Tenax

The Goerz Vest Pocket Tenax Camera was manufactured by the C. P. Goerz Optical Works company from approximately 1908 to 1926. Designed specifically for use with plates 1 3/4 x 2 5/16 inches in size, but it was also able to accommodate film packs. This camera measures approximately 7/8 x 2 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches when closed and weighs about 13.5 ounces. It is very light and compact. It features a single extension, strut extending bellows locking at infinity, a direct view collapsible finder, ground glass back for focusing, black leather bellows, black enameled front, nickel finished hardware, leather covered body and a tripod socket. Goerz Vest Pocket Tenax Camera was fitted with various lenses including a Goerz Dogmar, a Goerz Double Anastigmat Dagmar or a Double Anastigmat Syntor. It was fitted with a compound shutter capable of speeds up to 1/250 of a second.
