The Goerz Pocket Tenax camera was manufactured by the C. P. Goerz Optical Works company in circa 1910. A hand camera designed as to bring the size of the instrment to the irreducible minimum. The 5 x 4 model folds up to a compact thickness of only 1 1/4 inches. Constructed of aluminum alloy and covered in black leather. It featured a double extension bellows with a diagonal Rack and pinion adjustment and a collapsible finder. Made in three sizes, quarter plate 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch, 5 x 4 inch, and post card 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. The lens selection is the Goerz Syntor or Goerz Dogmar fitted into a special compound shutter giving exposures from 1 second to 1/250th of a second, as well as time and bulb exposures.
