  Goerz-Anschutz Folding Camera

The Goerz-Anschutz Folding Camera was manufactured from approximately 1896 to 1926. Several variations were produced over this time. Early models are identified by a simplified shutter mechanism changed in 1905 and a a smaller peep hole view finder, changed in 1906. By 1911 this camera was referred to as the Ango which was a shortened version combing the first two letters of ANschultz and GOerz. The later focal plane shutter was self-capping to ensure improper exposure of the plate and capable of providing speeds from 1/1200 of a second to 5 seconds. Available in four sizes, including a 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch, 5 x 4 inch, 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 postcard, and a 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch.
