Lancaster's Pocket Camera was manufactured by J. Lancaster & Son in circa 1879. The Pocket Camera was one of the first cameras made by J. Lancaster. The time period aligns with the announcement that his son was joining the business. The camera is briefly described only as having a 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch size and sold with an umbrella stand and three double dry plate slides. In the 1879 ad only two cameras are advertised, the pocket and a Lancaster Carte Photographic apparatus which is believed to be his later GEM camera. No other information can be found.
