The Vaido camera was manufactured by the Adams & Co. of London in circa 1910. Described as an instrument of superb construction, great precision and thorough reliability. It was available in two models. model A is for use with front shutters of all brands. Model B was fitted with the patent Minex self-capping focal plane shutter.
Features included the patent identoscope finder mounted above the lens. Adams revolving back for plates and cut films. Both rising and swing front operated with a rack and pinion. Adapts to all kinds of changing systems. Model A fitted with various lens including a Ross Homocentric F6.8, Zeiss Protar F6.3, or a Zeiss Tessar F4.5. Available in quarter plate, 5 x 4, and 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches. Priced from 15 0 0 to 22 0 0.
