Minex Camera

The Minex camera was manufactured by the Adams & Co. of London from approximately 1909 to 1936. Described in advertisements as an entirely new simplified type of reflex camera possessing some remarkable features, with many novel and useful movements. The revolving back automatically masks the picture on the top focusing screen to be vertical or horizontal as the back is positioned. The self capping focal plane shutter provides speeds from 1/1000th of a second to 3 seconds, with also time and bulb. The quarter-turn shutter knob sets both the shutter and the mirror and is released form a single release. There was magnifying spectacle lenses that were fitted inside the hood so that they did not have to be carried separately.
