Century Grand Junior Camera

The Century Grand Junior camera was manufactured by the Century Camera Company from approximately 1902 to 1908. The GrandJunior was similar to the Grand except it was less elaborate in fittings and adjustments.

Constructed of select and kiln dried mahogany with dovetail joints and covered in black cowhide leather. The brass hardware is polished and lacquered. The triple extension telescoping bed is made of brass and mahogany, attached with piano hinge. The front provides a rising, falling and cross swing adjustment with a patent automatic bed clamp. The back is reversible with automatic screen. A brass bound, hooded and reversible finder is provided for vertical or horizontal images. The camera was fitted with a Century triple Convertible or Planatic III lens and a Century Automatic, No. 1 shutter with operations for instantaneous, time and bulb exposures. Made in two sizes, a 4 x 5 inch originally priced at $32.00 or a 5 x 7 inch size originally priced at $41.00.
