  Century Camera, Model No. 12

The Century Camera, Model No. 12 was manufactured by the Century Camera Company from approximately 1900 to 1902. Constructed of mahogany with dovetail workmanship and covered in black leather. Polished mahogany bed with piano hinge for stability. The brass hardware is highly polished and lacquered. This quality made camera featured rack and pinion focusing and a rising and falling front. The camera is fitted with a Century rapid symmetrical lens and a Century regular double valve, No. 4 shutter which operates instantaneous, time and bulb exposures. A reversible back with automatic screen ad wooden panel anda a swing back and swing bed. A brass bound reversible and hooded, three lens brilliant finder is provided for vertical or horizontal images. Made in a 3 14 x 4 1/4 inch size, a 4 x 5 inch or a 5 x 7 inch size. Originally priced at $18, $18 and $24 respectively.
