  Butcher's Focal Plane No. 1 Camera

W. Butcher & Sons Ltd. Focal Plane No. 1 Camera was manufactured in circa 1904. Designed as a compact strut folding camera. Constructed of mahogany wood that has an ebony finish and covered with the best morocco leather. The camera was fitted with a Aldis F6 lens. The focal plane has four different sized slots, that can be brought into position to vary the shutter speed. The focusing screen in the back has a folding cover.
