  No. 2 Carbine Camera

The No. 2 Carbine was manufactured by the W. butcher & sons Ltd. company from approximately 1903 into the 1920. An early version was made with a built-in lens and shutter and all later versions made with an externally mounted lens and shutter. the camera was constructed of wood and covered in morocco and leatherette. The baseboard was polished aluminum. The hardware was nickel plated. early models fitted with a rapid single achromatic lens and a time and instantaneous shutter with revolving diaphragms.
