Butcher's No. 2 & 2A Cameras

datasheet_loginButcher's No. 2 Camera was a popular quarter plate camera manufactured by W. butcher & Sons in circa 1902. The camera was constructed of polished mahogany with leather bellows, front rack and pinion focusing, and brass runners for wide angle work. The back was reversible and a swing back. It was fitted with a superior single achromatic lens with revolving stops. The shutter was a revolving metal shutter that provided various speeds for instantaneous and time exposures. A turn table was fitted into the cameras base-board for ease of assembly onto a tripod. The No. 2a was similar in most respects stated above however, it was constructed of Walnut wood, carried nickel fittings and came with a roller blind shutter and iris lens.
