The Gipsy camera was manufactured by the W. Butcher & Sons Ltd. company in circa 1902. Designed as a compact folding camera only measuring 5 3/4 x 4 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches and weighing only 15.5 ounces. A neat camera covered in morocco-grained leatherette, with nickel-plated fittings and black ebonized woodwork. Fitted an achromatic lens with revolving diaphragms. It accommodates metal slides 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. Originally priced at 21/-.
