  Clincher Box Camera

The Clincher Box Camera was manufactured by W. Butcher & Sons from approximately 1903 to 1919. Designed to be simple and suitable for beginners. A magazine camera capable of processing 6 or 12 plates depending on the model. Constructed of well-seasoned wood and covered in Morocco leatherette with a solid leather carrying handle. Revolving diaphragms are fittted to the achromatic lens. The shutter provided time and instatneous exposures and two view finders are built-in for horizontal or vertical shots.

No. 1 - 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches, 6 plates 10/6.
No. 2 - 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, 6 plates 15/0.
No. 3 - 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, 12 plates 18/6
No. 4 - 9 x 12 centimeters, 6 plates 13/6.
