The Ruby Reflex Camera was manufactured by the Thornton-Pickard Mfg. Co. from approximately 1910 to 1939. Fitted with a capping time and instantaneous focal plane shutter with exposure speeds up to 1/1000 of a second and a self setting Everset silver-surfaced mirror. Constructed of seasoned mahogany and covered in the finest morocco leather. Metal work is black oxidized for a handsome finish. It has a long focusing hood that allows to see the exact full size image up to the moment at exposure and is detachable for cleaning. The bellows extends with rack and pinion movement and was available in either single extension (Ruby Reflex) or double extension (Duplex Ruby Reflex). The back is reversible. Lens selection included a Ruby Anastigmat f6.8 and a Dallmeyer Stigmatic F6.3. Available in 3 sizes including a quarter plate, 5 x 4 inch, and a half plate. Prices for the camera only ranged from £8 10 0 to £16 16 0.
