The Stereo Merveilleux Camera was manufactured by J. Lancaster & Son from approximately 1889 to 1905. Designed as a simple, low cost Stereoscopic camera. The Stereo Merveilleux was constructed of mahogany with few features. The tailboard design provided for rear manual focus. It was fitted with a matched pair of Lancaster's good lens and patented iris diaphragm. Capable of taking plate exposures 8 x 17 cm in size. Orignally priced at £2 2 0.
