The Pocket Merveilleux Camera was manufactured by J. Lancaster & Son in circa 1908. This camera was similar to the Le Merveilleux version 2 with the the same front and lens, however it was covered in leather and has a rear focusing hood. Constructed of mahogany with an all brass front giving considerable rise with simple adjustment. Fitted with a meniscus achromatic lens and the Lancaster iris shutter for time and instantaneous with a diaphragm plate for four apertures. A mounted brilliant finder, with circular adjustment for vertical or horizontal pictures. Available in quarter plate, half plate and full plate and priced from £1 1 0 to £3 3 0. It was also available with a rectilinear lens and shutter for additional cost.
