Plano-Reflex Camera

The Plano-Reflex Camera was manufactured by the J. Lancaster & Son Ltd. company in approximately circa 1904. Several models were models were made.

The No. 5 was introduced in about 1908 featuring an extra long extension allowing for multiples lens to be used at ease. Hinged deep focusing hood allowing the ground glass and mirror to be cleaned with minimum trouble. Available in quarter plate, 5 x 4 inches and half plate.

The No. 6 featured a rotating reversible back for vertical or horizontal pictures, a long triple extension leather bellows to allow for multiple lens, an improved rigid front and deep focusing hinged hood. The focal-plane shutter has an instantaneous range from 1/2 second up to 1/1300 of a second. Available in quarter plate, 5 x 4 inches, 5 1/2 x 3 1/4 inch post card size and half plate.
