"Thomas Wedgewood was born in Etruria on 14 May 1771 to a celebrated potter Josiah Wedgwood
In 1795 Thomas Wedgewood began some of the first recorded experiments to produce photos using light sensitive materials capture images upon glass.
In 1802, Wedgewood described his work in the journal of the Royal Institution as ""An account of Method of Copyings Paintings upon Glass, and Making Profiles by the Agency of Light upon Nitrate of Silver"". Sir Humphry Davy accompanied him in these experiments. Wedgewood was quoted to have said ""no attempts have been made to prevent the uncolored parts of the copy or profile from being acted upon by light have yet been successful"". They have discovered but half the spell and the images could not be fixed. he called the images ""sun prints"".
Wedgewood died at age 34, on 11 July 1805"
