Pocket Cameo ( Late Models)

The pocket Cameos were manufactured by the W. Butcher & sons Ltd. Company from approximately 1910 to 1925. The early cameo cameras were produced beginning in approximately 1900 until the all black models superseded it. The body was constructed of seasoned wood with tongue and grove corner woodwork for strength. It was covered in morocco-grained leatherette for durability. The bellows were made of real leather. The baseboard and front was made of stout aluminum alloy for rigidity and strength. All metal was finished in black enamel or polished nickel. Models 0 and I had single extension and Model II had double extension bellows. Model 0 was on made in quarter plate (4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches) size, however Models I & II were additionally made in 3 1/2 x 2 1/2, or postcard 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. A wide assortment of lens were available.
