National Professional No. 12

The No. 12 Professional National camera was manufactured by W. Butcher & Sons Ltd. in circa 1920. Designed as a substantial camera with a square bellows suitable for field or studio. Constructed of polished mahogany wood with brass hardware and leather bellows. Feature included rear focusing via rack and pinion movement, rising, falling and cross front, double swing and reversing back. The camera is provide with a Swift roller blind shutter behind the lens with time and instantaneous actions. Also speed indicator and pneumatic release with time valve. Available in quarter plate, full plate, 10 x 8 inches, and 12 x 10 inches. Various lens options were available to choose from including, Pimus, Aldis, Beck, Cooke, Dallmeyer and Ross. Prices ranged from 11 to 26.
