Lewis Daguerreotype Camera

Manufactured around 1852, by W. W.H. Lewis, New York. This was the first Camera to use an internal bellows from lens to glass plate. The Lewis factory located at 142 Chatham Square in New York City was a significant early supplier to early photographic artists.
